Date set for pensions meeting with ODPM |

The next meting of the Local Government Pension Scheme Tripartite Committee, to be chaired by John Prescott, will be held on the afternoon of 21st November 2005. This is likely to be a decisive meeting
Although some progress has been made, the big issues of the future of the 85 year rule and protection are still to be settled. Although UNISON are working very hard to get a deal for LGPS members which mirrors the PSF Agreement, there is no guarantee that we will achieve this. It is therefore imperative that we are prepared for an industrial action ballot.
