The motion states
"That this House welcomes the sucessful discussions between the Government and public sector trade unions on future pension provision, notes that the retirement age will normally remain at 60 years for present employees, acknowledges that, given an ageing population, pension changes are necessary for the future, believes that these changes are best achieved by meaningful discussion between employers and employees and looks forward to an early and successful settlement on the Local Government Pension Scheme".
