"The new resource will allow everyone from cleaners to teaching assistants to have access to high quality professional training and development".
The site will provide career advice and guidance for school support staff and help them take advantage of the new opportunities created by the School Workforce Agreement. it provides a "journey planner" to help school staff build their own personal and professional development plan.
The site also offers full details of training courses and qualification, how to go about enrolling and how to secure funding, if necessary. Schools minister Jacqui Smith welcomed the initiative saying "More people than ever are working in our schools and their contribution will continue to grow as our schools evolve and take their place at the heart of their communities providing childcare, adult learning and similar health and community services.
"The development of this website represents a significant benefit of school staff and will help achieve the government's aim of ensuring each child can fulfil their potential".
